There are 12 study rooms in the Library (on Levels 1 and 2) provided for the purpose of group study by groups of two or more students. They are not intended for use by individuals on their own.
Students can book the rooms online through the Study Room Bookings system. The following rules apply:
- the maximum booking duration is 2 hours. You can also book for 30 minutes, 1 hour (this is the default) or 1.5 hours
- bookings can only start on the hour or half-hour - that is, at 0 or 30 minutes past the hour.
Therefore, if you need a room from, for example, 10.40 then book it from 10.30
- no more than 1 booking per user per day
- no more than 3 future bookings per user
- no booking more than one month ahead
- rooms are intended for groups of two or more, individuals occupying rooms alone will be asked to leave
- rooms are for student and Library staff use only, University staff should use the room booking system for staff to book a room elsewhere on campus.
Bookings that break these rules will be deleted.
